A very nice and tastefully decorated living room, a great kitchen, with it's 76m² it's really a very nice apartment, near almost all entertainment places, 5min by metro and you're in the beach, transport facilities are always available, taxi can take you with less than 0,50 Euro to Monastir or Sousse, you really will be happy having your holidays there, the two bedrooms all new equipped and really make you feel comfortable as if you were in a luxious hotel, and i'm sure you will enjoy your stay.
This apartment is ideal for couples or small families who want to enjoy the Tunisian weather and culture. The nearby shops and restaurants are great value for money and are run by friendly and interesting locals. The locals are proud of their heritage which you too can discover at the museums and fascinating monumnents in the area. You could also visit the beaches and take part in the array of watersports and outdoor activities which are offered here. However with weather this good its the perfect excuse to do nothing except sit back and watch the world go by....

The Sahel region

Sahel is located on the east side of Tunisia and its fertile plains make it the centre for agriculture in Tunisia. Sahel also contains Kairouan the spiritual home of all Tunisians which has also been dubbed 'the city of 50 mosques'. This is a great destination for those wishing to explore 13 centuries of Islamic culture. Your trip wouldnt be complete without visiting the great mosque which presides over Kairouan like a vast sentinel.
Sahel also plays host to Mahdia which is the most prosperous of Tunisia's cities due to its vast tracts of land dedicated to olive trees.
The area of Sahel is rich in ancient history with Roman structures and Mosaics in abundance, however in sharp contrast to this there are plenty of activities and excellent shopping facilities for the more outgoing holiday makers.

Monastir area

Monastir has many beautifull beaches for those who wish to relax and soak up the sun. There are also many watersports and outdoor pursuits to keep even the most energetic holiday makers happy. Monastir is a massive centre for tourism however this does not mean that it lacks in history or culture. Within Monastir is the old Arabic city or medina which plays host to the Ribat (monastic fortress) and the Kasbah (fort). Here you will find a great museum and a number of 'souks' or covered markets that sell a bewildering arrray of jewelry, pottery and traditional crafts.
Suprisingly Monastir is equally suited for those who are looking for history and for those who are looking for sun sea and watersports.
Kairouan is about an hour from Monastir and is the centre for Tunisian spirituality. The great mosque is spectacular to say the least so well worth the visit. Kairouan is also the most renowned carpet centre in Tunisia and as such the carpets on display range from the ordinary to the unbelievable in terms of intricacy and design.

- get to the train station "Sahline Sebkha", it's the one just next to the Monastir Airport Station (5min)
- get a taxi from Monastir to the "Mandra Residence" in The touristic street of Sahline
- get the bus from Sousse to Sahline Ville
- get the bus from Monastir to Mandra Residence in Sahline Ville

The property is 5 minutes away from the metro station which will take you to Sousse centre, Monastir or Mahdia. The metro is regular every hours or 30 minutes. This will save you the hassle of louage, bus and taxi for 99% of the time.

I stayed at this property with my daughter in April 2006 for 1 week. We had a great time here. The property is 5
minutes away from the metro station which will take you to Sousse centre, Monastir or Mahdia. This saved us the hassle of louage, bus and taxi for 99% of the time. The apartment is large and spacious. The owner of the property is very friendly and nothing is too much. He went out of his way to make sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. We had pre-pay landline phone, cable TV, spacious living room, ironing facilities, kitchen facilities. At the time of renting the owner did not have washing machine, A/C or heating. All these things have now been added as improvements since I last rented the property. I would not hesitate to rent again or recommend anyone to rent this property. You can rest assured that the landlord is a trustworthy and decent person who will help to ensure that your stay is brilliant. There are shops and pharmacy nearby, also the beach is not too far away and there are salt lakes less than 5 minutes away from the property.
